Curriculum

Each academic year is divided into 13 four-week block rotations. Resident schedules vary by training track, but all tracks provide strong preparation in both general psychiatry and subspecialty care. Beginning in PGY-2 year, every resident participates in a continuity clinic within the BayCare Health System for one half-day each week.

Didactic Curriculum

Residents will participate in didactics during the academic half-day (AHD), a dedicated three- to four-hour teaching block that starts at 1pm. The curriculum covers essential topics designed to help residents develop into well-rounded physicians. Throughout the year, residents also take part in case conferences. Each resident selects a faculty member to collaborate with and delivers a presentation on an assigned topic. Every didactic session is designed to be interactive, featuring one or more lectures along with structured time for discussion.

Program Faculty
